National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN) enjoy no-fail music making at annual conference

Percussion Play were delighted to join up with Rupert Oliver’s Ideas Factory to exhibit at this year’s National Farm Attraction Network annual conference and trade show.

With over 250 members, The National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN) originally started as a networking organisation. Now, as well as knowledge sharing and encouraging best practices, it keeps members up to date on the latest advice from HSE, represents the farm attraction industry at government meetings, provides ongoing support and guidance and runs regular member events such as open days, roadshows and workshops. The NFAN Annual Conference and Trade Exhibition is their biggest event of the year.

Rupert Oliver’s Ideas Factory specialise in designing and creating amazing indoor and outdoor play areas with quirky twists for farm parks and adventure parks such as Peppa Pig World, Cannon Hall Farm, Heads of Ayr Farm Park and Knockhatch Adventure Park to name just a few.

A day out at a Farm Park just isn’t complete without a visit to the adventure playground or play barn. We wanted to show the NFAN Members how they could bring their farm park playground to life with our range of outdoor musical instruments and watch visitors explore their musical talents and make some wonderful sounds with our drums, outdoor xylophones, beautiful chimes and other percussion instruments.

Percussion Play took along our “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” MyTunes™ chimes to the NFAN Conference. These individual aluminium chimes, when struck from left to right will play the familiar melody, allowing everybody to enjoy no-fail music making! The sound produced is comparable with a glockenspiel, only with much more sustain.

This is a video of the Old Macdonald Chimes installed at the wonderful inner city Acorn Farm, Liverpool.
