Located in Fishers, Indiana, Conner Prairie is a nationally acclaimed outdoor history museum. One of the largest attractions in the region and one of the most visited outdoor museums in the country they have a long history of innovation that spans the fields of science, history, art, and nature.Their mission is to inspire curiosity and foster learning about Indiana through hands-on, immersive and interactive experiences. Created by Eli Lilly in 1934, Conner Prairie combines history with science and offers several historically themed, indoor and outdoor experience areas throughout its 800 acres of wooded property.

About the Treetop Outpost

Conner Prairie's Treetop Outpost is a 6,000-square-foot destination nestled in woods that allows families to interact with nature in new and meaningful ways. Featuring a giant, 4-story 45-foot-tall tree house which is surrounded by special activity areas where guests of all ages can have fun investigating nature and its resources, dig in a re-created archaeology site, build log cabins, create art and fill the forest with music on the outdoor musical instruments.

The great outdoors soaks up the cacophonies created on the Marimba, Conga Drums, Tembos so visitors can pound to their heart’s content!

Treetop Outpost also includes a 30-foot suspension bridge and a connecting Nature Walk that leads visitors through the woods and along the White River to a prairie lookout.

Conner Prairie certainly gives families an opportunity to reconnect with the outdoors while exploring the history of the area in a fun and informal way.
